Royal Flush The five highest cards, the 10 through the Ace, all five of the same suit. A royal flush is -high straight flush. Which suit it is doesn't matter. Two people with royal flushes would tie. Allowed to 'wrap around,' such as Q Straight Flush A Straight Flush is comprised of five cards in numerical order, all of the same suit. The higher flush wins the pot. And a Q-J-10-8-6 is better than a Q-J-8-7-6 so your opponent won the pot. It's the same for any other non-flush hand where the highest cards form the tie break. GETTING STARTED:
The player makes equal bets in the Ante and Blind circles. The player may also bet the Trips bonus. He will then receive two cards.
BETTING:
When the player receives his two hole cards, he can either check or bet 3x-4x his Ante. The dealer then reveals the three-card flop. If the player hasn't already made a Play bet, he has a choice: check or bet 2x his Ante. The dealer then reveals the final two community cards. If the player has not already bet, he has a choice: fold or bet 1x his Ante.
WINNING & LOSING:
The dealer then reveals his two hole cards and announces his hand. If the player's hand beats the dealer's, his Play and Ante bets win even money. If the dealer's hand beats the player's hand, the player's Play, Ante and Blind lose. If the player ties, those bets push. The Blind pays if the player's winning hand is at least a Straight (see below for odds). If the player beats the dealer with less than a Straight, it pushes.
DEALER QUALIFYING:
The dealer needs a pair or better to qualify. When the dealer doesn't qualify, the Ante bet is returned. The Play and Blind bets are played against the dealer and the player's hand must still beat the dealer to win.
NOTE: Ultimate Texas Hold 'Em handles qualifying differently than other table games. When the dealer does not qualify, it is not an automatic win for the player.
