Wynn Poker Room Results
The decisions by Wynn highlight the changes gamblers can expect when they return to resorts that have been closed for two months as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. Poker rooms are typically crowded, and the game is one of the least profitable for casinos. LAS VEGAS (KLAS) - The race and sports book as well as the poker room of the Wynn Las Vegas will be closed as of Sunday, March 15 as confirmed by Deanna Pettit-Irestone, Executive Director of Public Relations for Wynn Las Vegas on Friday. The Wynn Casino presents The Wynn Fall Classic, September 23 - October 13, 2019. The $1,600 Championship event begins October 3 and has a $1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool. The old poker room was located on the Wynn side of the property, and always attracted its share of wealthy donks who were just killing time waiting for their show to start or were bored of playing. LAS VEGAS (Sept. 18, 2020) – Wynn Las Vegas announces it will re-open the Wynn Poker Room on Wednesday, September 30, at 12 p.m. Located in the Encore casino, the Wynn Poker Room will operate seven days a week, 24-hours a day, for guests to responsibly enjoy their favorite game in a socially distanced playing environment.

Wynn Las Vegas and Encore are known for their fine and casual dining experiences, premier shopping, and two award-winning spas. Of course, they did not fail to bring one more piece of luxury to the table — a poker room as well-appointed as it is action-packed.
The Wynn Poker Room is located next to Encore's casino and features 28 non-smoking tables and plush seating. Players can expect to try their hand at no-limit hold’em, pot-limit Omaha, and mixed-game combinations with limits ranging from $1/$3 to $25/$50 on a regular basis.
In the summer, the Wynn organizes the popular Wynn Summer Classic, a massive series of tournaments with famous winners as Chris Moorman, Ryan Van Sanford, Antoine Saout, and Florian Duta. Besides the Summer Classic, the Wynn Poker Room hosts the Fall Classic, several Signature Weekends a year, and a big slate of weekly tournaments with big guarantees.
In September of 2018, the Wynn Poker Room announced several changes to their weekly tournaments:
- All events are now played with a Big Blind Ante
- There are now guarantees added to the Monday-Thursday events
- All starting stacks have increased by 50%; from 10,000 to 15,000
- The Saturday event has seen an increase on the guarantee from $25,000 to $30,000
Wynn Poker Room
Welcome to the classiest poker room in town, and one of my favorites for four years now.
They offer 26 tables with a variety of games, including Limit Hold’em, No Limit Hold’em, 7Card Stud, Omaha 8/B, PLO, and more. Limits include 1-3, 2-5, 5-10, and sometimes higher depending on requests.
Like the Wynn itself, the room paints a picture of elegance with every detail. Fine wood paneling, marble and granite counters, plush spotless seating, ample space between tables, soft rippling draperies, poker-themed artwork, and a plethora of soft lighting that leaves the room well-lit without glare.
This is not the place to stumble into after the club. This is the place to enjoy a glass of wine or cognac, meet players from all over the world, and feel like you’re playing poker on Steve Wynn’s private yacht.
Players rarely get out of line here, due to the atmosphere. You will find bigger rooms at the Venetian and Caesar’s, and I’ve rated Venetian as the best poker room all-around, but you won’t find a more elegant poker setting in all of Las Vegas.
The room sits well-positioned near the casino and hotel offerings. Within twenty paces you’ll find show tickets, The Café, Allegro (fine dining), a Ferrari showroom, and restrooms fit for the Queen of England. The Wynn also has some of the easiest parking I’ve encountered; I like the 4th floor roof, where there’s always space and a clear view to mountains. You can hear the feel-good music of the Wynn as soon as you open your car door.
One more note: The Wynn Classic, a well-run and popular tournament, starts tomorrow February 28 and goes through March 21. Click picture below for details.
